Ha, I did that once at a party. Everyone was like "HEY! ROMY! YOU'RE LATE!!!!!!" and I was like "But I brought donuts..." and immediately everyone was like "Yep, you're fine, you're right on time actually!!"
If a worker that is always late starts showing up on time on a regular basis after years of working there, your employers would be very impressed. It means high dedication if you've neglected showing up on time in the past.
Where they giving out free zap-apple donuts in the mornings or something? She EARNED that promotion!
(panel two's grumpy 'whatever' face is just my fav in this page lol)
I like the style you're going with. It's so cute, aesthetically appealing. And simple enough to allow more focus on other details like backgrounds and effects. Not that I think these comics are simple! Just very sharp and efficient style. I just love the colors you use in these. So light and cool. Makes me want to see if I can make my own comic one day like this. You've always been pretty inspiring with your work. Well, enough brattling on about your obvious skills, onto the next page!
I am in love with Twilight-Rainbow banter. Your facial expressions are perfect, oh my gosh. Especially Twilight's exasperated/condescending little smiles. And I am still in love with this art style. I am super, super excited for this chapter. (Of course, I already was since page 1, when I saw that it'd involve both Twilight and RD!) ^^
Amusing premise, but it always seemed to me as though Rainbow Dash already was Ponyville's lead weather pony. She was team captain for the weather team in Winter Wrap Up, and was likewise in charge of organizing all the preparation for raising water up to Cloudsdale in Hurricane Fluttershy. There might possibly be some desk-jockey who is ostensibly her boss, but she's rather clearly ALWAYS been the top ranked of any active fliers in Ponyville, what with her seemingly being entrusted with sole responsibility for keeping the skies clear during a royal visit in the very FIRST episode.
So I'm sorry to say, but I find the prospect of her being able to receive any kind of meaningful promotion rather suspect at best.
