In response to how RD really should have been able to recover because she has wings/glide/recovery; I really didn't make this comic with game balance in mind. Though if I had to give it a reason, RD used her recovery (wingboner) to escape the ropes, then comically wasted her midair jumps in panels 1-2 while talking to Applejack.
