I don't like how Valve is making a game that's so famous thanks to the work and artistic vision of another company, Blizzard. I would have found it more tolerable if they had put some more original content and creativity into their version. Yet so many of the heroes have, or nearly have, the same design and set of artistic elements. But what's really bizarre to me is how Crixalis turned out. They changed him into something much more than just a giant scorpion... But now it looks like he's derived from the zerg, particularly the hydralisk and lurker, from Starcraft, another Blizzard franchise! It's like they couldn't help themselves but hack off Blizzard.
Your drawing is good though, I'm not accusing you of anything.
Well that's because if they go too much away from the style, those who played the first DotA might find it hard to recognize the new Heroes. ...and since DotA is technically a "mini-game" for Warcraft (and is not made by Blizzard), it's actually already a "ripoff" (NOTE THE QUOTATION MARKS) since it was first released. Good examples are like Death Prophet's Exorcism, which is just a revamped Locust Swarm, and how Lich's skills are almost intact except for Chain Frost.
