I just can't get why all the fans question Pyro's gender...or get mad when someone make a silly comment of he being a brony...I don't get mad when haters post their comments...but guess this is the internet...
Gender? Because no token females are present in-game and his/her face and voice is obscured enough to not be certain for many. Ultimately, it's simply open to interpretation, which many people like in stories or characters. You can decide for yourself.
As for the madness: No, this is a limited understanding of the situation; I "get it" and I can tell you what I know. We are bronies, so brony comments seems commonplace to us, but consider how much THEY (the non-fans) have had to put up with in the past: stubborn evangelical bronies telling them to watch the show, bronies coming to declare themselves or make references on videos that make mention of horses or ponies in any way, shape, or form... it becomes equivalent to spam like "First!" comments or dissing the famous uploader... it isn't appreciated and ends up derailing everything.
There are bronies who don't recognize the cycle of conflict that propagates when they don't keep an amusing thought to themselves and opt to tell EVERYONE ELSE what they are thinking... then haters have knee-jerk responses and want to kick them down before they get annoying, then other bronies come out of the woodwork and BECOME annoying by defending the show with the same song and dance that everyone knows, and the flame war begins. So, in the context of a non-MLP-related video, the comment isn't just silly, it's STUPID. This is partly the culture of Youtube at work (with regards to whimsical expression of opinions), but consideration will have to become the greater force in the minds of members in our community if bronies are ever to gain a better reputation. We have virtues inherent from the very fact we can enjoy the show we do, and the show has many more virtues to teach us if it is studied more critically, but those virtues don't come out very often for outsiders to see.
hmm now I understand it, in fact I felt quite bad since I just throw my own wood to live up the fire (in the form of a "silly" comment), but that would be the last time I'll do, for now on I'll be a better brony and I'll act as the community expect me to act, thanks for the verbose but clear response to such dilemma.
I'm sorry for being verbose, and for making you feel bad. I'm hopeful that if enough people hear me out on this issue, things may get better. Thank you for doing your part. Heck, if you want, study how these flame wars start yourself and decide how you want to interpret what happens, then tell others what you see. I'M only human, so I could still be mistaken myself, but I still want to help the community and hope that this is a good way.
(P.S: You may still make as many silly comments as you want in MLP videos. )
And pyro is too busy handling pyroland's debt crissis in order to make time for this picture. Or at least, that's what he thinks he's doing. Actualy he's exemining and carving into the remains of a spy which he mauled with an axe seconds before. Which he thought was a flying uni-pig that gave him the paperwork.
